Shann is an actor, singer, theatre educator, & audio pro ;)

“Shann is an absolute joy to work with - a director’s dream. She leads by example.”

- Director Todd Poelstra, Pima Theatre

Hi! I’m Shann (pronounced like a lazier version of “Shannon”), a SAG-E performer, theater educator, and audio professional in San Francisco.

During the day I teach youth acting classes and direct stage productions as the Director of Performing Arts at Salesian Boys & Girls Club.

I also work with young performers individually in private or group coaching and mock auditions. I specialize in working with young performers of all levels (especially stage fright!) - feel free to email me.

I’m lucky to also be a busy working actor, so after teaching I’m off to my own rehearsals! My weekends are usually spent filming or recording voice over work, and at night you can find me on a theater stage!

Otherwise I’m on a film set, music studio, or podcast garage as a freelance audio engineer, sound mixer, and audio/video editor. I’ve taught many podcasting workshops as well (contact me!)

My weekly radio show, Moonlight Saving Time, has been broadcasting live on 91.3FM KXCI Tucson and 102.5 KXSF San Francisco for over 8 years! Find out more here.

Reviews

“I would also like to mention Gianbari Deebom and Shann Oliver – Rosie and Tanya respectively. They were quite the duo and I was impressed by their contrasting vocal timbre. They complimented each other incredibly well (them harmonies, though!). Rosie is a free, fearless woman and Tanya is an affluent, pampered, girly girl and the performances from these two young ladies were so true to the script. It was very refreshing to see young performers put their egos aside and work to tell the story and not make the performance about themselves. Bravo.”

- Felíz Torralba on Mamma Mia!

The Cast had some heavy hitters who embraced their roles. Elaine Harper (Shann Oliver) provided the ideal balance and stronger female in all the insanity.

- Regina Ford on Arsenic and Old Lace

Stand-out performances include Shann Oliver playing Mary Smith, who in one short scene illustrates a generation of malicious virtue signaling by Ellen's half sister.
